Putting a easy set pool on a deck?
We have a deck that is about 1 foot off the ground. The support beams are 14 inches apart. The pool is 30 inches high and 12 feet in diameter. Do you think it would be safe to put it on our deck. I calculated it out to be about 12000 lbs. Any info would be great!
Should hold the weight, the joists are usually 16" on center, but you are probably measuring between them. I would begin to fill the pool and watch the effect on the deck closely. Remenber there will be people in the pool as well. That is what is referred to as "live load". You could also call the local building inspector for advice, it won't cost you anything.
