I need some ideas to make my 18th birthday party that little bit different...?

its a joint 18th, me and a friend, and we're both female. we need some ideas to make it unforgettable. its in the local pub, and we're decorating it all pink and silver. we're gonna have pink glow sticks for the guests and fairy lights all around to make it look pretty. we'll have a disposable camera on each table too. any further ideas? however small its very appreciated.

This can be Small or Big any way you like... So, how about
"A glow in the dark party" is pretty simple. It is a great idea to have a dance at your "glow in the dark party". Mix some techno in with your favorite music. You will need a DJ for this party that have BLACKLIGHTS and STROBE LIGHTS (and/or a disco ball, go for it!)... Add a very fun impact to your dance floor. Start looking for a DJ that has blacklights and how big a room does his blacklight glow? You must know the dance room size. This is very important.

Get and buy glow sticks - necklaces, bracelets, etc. (Michael's Craft store have it right now for a dollar which it contain 15 bracelet w/connector pieces) Go get some streamers in white or neon pink so that they will glow in the blacklights. (Confetti is great, too... but it may not be allowed... to messy to clean up.) Get balloons, however, it doesn’t glow in the dark, here a quick ideas you can do: get some white and/or pink balloons and also get some small clear/pink glow sticks. Put the small glow stick (snap it on) inside the balloon, blow it up and tie-it with a string around the wall or up from the ceiling. (Do this an hour before the party. Also buys some "glow in the dark" stickers to put on the balloon or order it thru the website.

Buy some yellow highlight markers and white paper banners to put on your walls. Let guests write on the banners if they'd like. There are tons of creative activities that you can have at your glow in the dark party. Also if you wish, buy some temporary neon hair dye and streak your guests’ hair to glow in the dark! Don't forget to buy some glow in the dark nail polish. Tell friends to do the same, if they want to. Buy some white face paint and have your guests draw designs on each other’s faces! White will glow against the black lights very well.

For guests, pick up some:
* Glow sticks, and other glow jewelry
* White or neon hats for the guys and masks for the girls

As your guests walk into your party, hand them all their glowing accessories. There are tons of glowing jewelers sold at your local dollar store or party supply store. To have yourself and guests to get some glowing... dress in white... white glow in the dark. Their clothing will definitely glow! Be creative!!!

For Tables:
Get white tablecloths and for Centerpiece... use some slim glow sticks (Gather some glow sticks (from Michaels craft store), get a floral tape, now wrap floral tape around the glow sticks, wrap it from the bottom of the glow sticks, now put in a small/medium thin vase, now your glow sticks look like a tall grass inside the vase. Now put in three silk flowers pink and white in each vase with the glow sticks.) . Do this for all the table you have at the local pub. Small candles are great too. A note from you and your friend, thanking your guests for coming… with a thank you and a small poem… make copies for, as many guest you’re inviting Treat candies are good to put on the tables put them in a tiny Chinese box.

Food:
Make sure that it is simple and not something that will require a lot of light to prepare. I would recommend to prepare any food before the party begins. Get some glow in the dark cups and ice cubes or just a get white cups/plates/etc. (Not clear ones, doesn't glow.) Serve drinks with glow in the dark straws. Serve food on simply white party plates. Get sherbet ice creams and cupcakes/cake in neon colors. They’re fun.... be creative and fun!

For Fun:
Have a glow stick limbo contest, play flashlight tag with glow sticks, and have "the best glow in the dark face paint". Also, get some glow in the dark blow up balls (like the beach ball) to throw around the dance floor... with permission. (One ball is perfect.) Have a super great time!
